6th Grade Wheel Classes
The "wheel" classes are required exploratory classes.  They are designed to introduce students to major topics within each of the classes.  Students rotate through the classes during the course of the school year.  For example, a student may start first quarter with health, and then rotate through the other courses in following quarters.

 ART
This course allows students to apply knowledge learned in their core classes to their study of art; we are helping students understand the relationship among life, cultures, and art.  The major areas of focus are:  Ancient Greece and Rome, Folk Artists, Women Artists, and American Contemporary Artists.  Students will have opportunities to express themselves and understand their visual world through writing, speaking, and creating 2-D and 3-D art forms.
