Prairie Phoenix Academy is an alternative education program through the Sun Prairie Area School District that serves students in need of an alternative to the traditional high school to meet their educational and career goals.
Prairie Phoenix Academy serves students who are referred through the Sun Prairie High School C.A.R.E. Team by teachers, counselors, administrators, students and parents. The Alternative Learning Center is a small community with a caring staff that provides the students with support in all aspects of their education and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the community.
The school is part of the Sun Prairie Area School District and is connected with Sun Prairie High School. It adheres to the policies and procedures of the School District. The handbook for the Prairie Phoenix Academy is an addendum to Sun Prairie High School’s Student and Family Handbook. It does not replace it. Students and parents are responsible for knowing the contents of both.
