In the fall of 2009, ESCO added a new committee to its roster: the Eastside "Green Team." The Team is focused on environmentally-friendly actions and learning experiences to enhance Eastside Elementary School.

Formation of the Green Team means that Eastside will participate in the Wisconsin Green & Health Schools Program, a project of the state's Department of Natural Resources and its Department of Public Instruction.  Becoming a recognized "Green & Healthy School" is a 3-step process. That process has already begun at Eastside. Completion of the process will make us eligible for particular rewards and recognition, as well as enhancing the Eastside experience.
