The mission of the Sun Prairie High School Library is to provide the tools and guidance necessary to empower the students and staff of the school community to be successful lifelong learners in the 21st century.

Selection Policy:  Library Media Center (LMC) Materials

a. In selecting materials for purchase for the LMC, the LMC Specialist will evaluate the existing collection of educational media and will consult reputable, professionally prepared selection aids and other appropriate sources.

b. Recommendations for purchase will be solicited from administrators, curriculum coordinators, staff and students.

c. Gift materials shall be judged by the criteria defined in Board policy and shall be accepted or rejected based on these criteria.

d. Selection is an ongoing process which shall include the removal of materials no longer appropriate and the replacement of lost or worn materials still of educational value.
