Academic Decathlon is a club to improve a student's study and communication skills by exploring a wide array of topics including: art, music, math, economics, language and literature, science, social sciences, speech, essay and interview. Students will have many opportunities to travel and compete.

Amnesty Club
Amnesty International is a global movement of people fighting injustice and promoting human rights. In 1977 AI received the Nobel Peace Prize. AISPHS works to educate the community about human rights and take simple but effective action to end human rights abuses around the world.

Drama Club is intended to engage students in theater appreciation activities throughout the school year. If you are interested in Animals, Plants, Conservation, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Food Science, or Agribusiness; FFA and Agricultural Education is perfect for you. Sun Prairie FFA is a student run organization in which you take what you've learned in Agricultural Courses and apply it to the real world. FFA meetings are held in 2745(Mr. Kvalheim's Classroom). Activities include district, state, and national speaking and judging competitions, conventions, leadership conferences and many local activities and events. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Forensics |
The forensics team is a competitive speech, interpretation, and acting club. Practices begin in December and are held on Wednesdays after school in the LGI (3:30 - 5:00 pm) and Thursday evenings (6:30 - 8:30 pm) in the Library. Competitions are on Saturdays and run from January through March. The team is open to all SPHS students interested in improving their public speaking skills.

FEA
FEA (Future Educators) is focused on exposing students to the rewards, joys, and challenges of careers in education. The mission of FEA is to foster the recruitment and development of prospective educators worldwide through the dissemination of innovative programming and relevant research. By elevating the image of teaching, FEA will attract dynamic and diverse students who will become tomorrow's great educators. Participants interested in attending the National FEA Conference will have the opportunity to fundraise throughout the year. The organizations is also focused on volunteering with students in the younger grades and being teacher assistants during summer school. FEA meets every other Thursday at 7:40 a.m.

Games Club |
Games Club is a place for gamers together and share time playing the games they love. The club is welcome to so called nerds and geeks alike who share an interest in card games, board games, and video games. Students tend to play card games like Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and even euchre. Board games like Settlers of Catan are played from time to time and all video games played are required to be appropriate for school. Come join us sometime!

German Club encourages students with common interests in the German language and culture to associate with each other and supplement class with related activities. German Club raises funds for German Day and travel abroad. Activities include decorating a Homecoming window, selling German candies and calendars, co-sponsoring an international dinner and German Day, and taking a trip to the folk fair.

HOSA-Health Occupation Students of America |
HOSA is a national student organization that promotes interests in health careers and provides leadership opportunities. Students can participate in the fall leadership conference, in various competitions during our spring state conference which occurs at Chula Vista Resort in the Dells and participate in other various school events like window painting during homecoming. Every year students can participate in community service projects like, Special Olympics, Project Linus blankets or making layettes. Open to all 9th-12th grade students interested in the Health Care field.

Insanity Club is designed to provide students in grades 8-12 the opportunity to work out before school. The purpose of the Jazz Ensembles is to introduce students to jazz and to provide opportunities to learn and perform various styles of jazz. Math League |
Math Team is a club in which teams of students go to different schools in the Madison area to compete against students from other schools. At each meet, individuals take a mental math test, individual math test, and a group test with their team. Each meet tests on a different subject or theme of high school mathematics. At the end of the meet, those with high scores are awarded with medals or ribbons. Math Team can be a very fun way to meet other students from your school and other schools in the area.

National Honor Society (NHS) |

National Honor Society is a service organization. Students who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or above after five semesters of high school and who also meet the requirements of the other three areas (Character, Leadership, and Service) are granted membership in the spring of their junior year. During senior year, members must complete 10 hours of service work each semester, through school or community based activities.
NHS meetings are held on Tuesday mornings before school in the high school library.

"Otaku Anonymous is a club that meets once a week to watch and discuss anime. Join this club to connect with students who love anime like you do! Students from the club even get together on their own to attend conventions and cosplay. While we meet once a week, you don't need to make it to every meeting: there isn't any sort of attendance minimum requirement you need to meet. Student Council is a student-led organization intent on providing students a way to participate in their school as peer leaders, as well as contribute to the positive community through collaboration with staff and administration. Student Council is responsible for planning Homecoming Week activities, Pink Out, three annual blood drives, a talent show, fall and spring charity drives, a winter week celebration, CAPS for the Cure, Culture Week in the spring, as well as other events as needed. S.A.D.D. |
The S.A.D.D. mission is to provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the serious issues young adults are facing today. The idea of empowerment is to build students confidence and ability to create changes and manage behavior in a way that results in healthy life choices. S.A.D.D. promotes a message of "No Use" of alcohol or other drugs and encourages students not to participate in activities with destructive consequences. S.A.D.D. offers life lessons that will lead members well in the 21st century.

SPHS Theatre Productions |
Theatre Productions presents two shows each year - a fall musical in November and a spring play in May. The goal is to teach students interested in theatre skills that will help them to be successful adults. We also hope to foster student collaboration and enjoyment of the performing arts. Rehearsals for the productions are typically after school with some evening and weekend rehearsals.

Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee Club is intended to engage students in the sport of ultimate Frisbee throughout the school year. Students involved in Ultimate Frisbee Club play ultimate weekly in Sun Prairie with teammates during early autumn and spring. Ultimate Frisbee Club members also compete with Madison-area highs school ultimate teams in scrimmages and league play. Finally, Ultimate Frisbee Club members study the game of ultimate, commit to improving their skills as players of ultimate, and maintain the spirit of the game philosophy on and off the field.

They Sun Prairie High School Yearbook Club creates the annual Yearbook for the school and community. The students produce a color, 200+page Yearbook, using on-line software from the Jostens Company. The students learn how to create appealing pages applying desktop publishing techniques and journalism styles. There are also many leadership positions available for our students. Our meetings are after school om Monday's in Room 2210, starting at 3:15. Come and be a part of the history of our high school!

NBSC Trap Shooting Club*:
Trap Club is for the student whom is interested in learning to shoot trap or does shoot trap competitively. We meet once a week on Thursday's at the North Bristol Sportsman's Club to practice and shoot matches. All are welcome to join. No experience necessary, however per club rules you do need to have completed and have proof of completion of Wisconsin Hunters Education in order to Shoot.
